Feasibility Study or Feasibility Analysis

A project must definitly be feasible technically, feasible economically, feasible in terms of profitability and of course feasible in terms of the possibilities that Mexican law establishes. Forta Ingenieria strives to give great importance to the Feasibility Studies or Analysis to evaluate that the project our client requires is going to meet all these elements.

Feasibility Study defines whether the project will be a problem or an opportunity. These studies are intended to provide insight into the amount of investment needed for the proposed project and location. Besides, the studies define the construction method that will optimize the use of economic resources. In this way, our clients obtain the information about capital needs, labour, materials, equipment, area requirements, etc.

Schematic / Basic Engineering Design

Basic Engineering is a preliminary stage of the project which provides an approximate yet accurate estimate of overall construction costs. During Basic Engineering we create plans, schedules, analysis, diagrams, etc., so the implications of the project can be assessed. These plans are not for construction; however, they are the starting point to generate Detailed Engineering.

Basic Engineering comes after the Feasibility Study or Analysis and is the starting point for the execution phase. In Basic Engineering we elaborate a Front End Engineering (FEE), a Front End Engineering Design (FEED), a Pre-Project Planning (PPP) or a Front End Loading (FEL).

These engineering schemes are developed in order to have an approach to cost controlling of the project or for tender process integration. A Front End Engineering Design (FEED) is used to set a price for the Execution Phase of the project and assess potential risks. At this stage a very close communication is established between Forta Ingenieria and the project owner to specify the requirements. Within Basic Engineering, the Blueprint or Project Draft is generated.

This is a fundamental process that allows us to start conceptualizing in a functional manner the needs, investment amounts and constraints of the specific site, taking into account the Feasibility Studies to help to verify the viability of its development as well as any alternatives that may contribute to the execution process.

At Forta Ingenieria we develop blueprints or layouts with architectural perspectives that address the productive needs of the customer and the possible constraints of the ground and water tributaries, limiting height on façades or area restrictions, giving certainty to the investment and reducing risk factors prior to the Design Project and Construction stages.

It is worth noting that each stage of planning and design our blueprints follow current building regulations, integrate the results of our preliminary research and avoid additional modifications which correspond to a direct saving of our customer’s time and resources.

Detailed Engineering Design

Detail Engineering is already part of the Execution Phase and follows from the FEED or basic engineering. At Forta Ingenieria we specialize in the development of Executive Projects for the construction of Industrial Complexes or Industrial Plants, providing our clients with a comprehensive service that comprises all engineering branches necessary for the planning, development and construction, including any industrial sector (manufacturing, food, logistics, storage, automotive) with innovative solutions and in accordance with current regulations on safety and functionality. Planning and design of industrial buildings must be performed by specialized companies that integrate all necessary engineering services for your project, avoiding multiple contracts and waste of time during site works.

Quality Control

Technical Inspection (Quality Assurance-Construction Technical Supervision)

The final stage mainly consists on making sure that the works will be carried out in accordance with the technical specifications that were agreed and approved during project implementation.

This stage is a determining factor for the success of the project, as many situations that arise during site works must be supervised carefully. These situations involve not only the technical aspects but also the conflicts that can be generated by the human factor.

To this end, the Technical Supervisors of Forta Ingenieria have the technical skills needed to ensure that the works comply with the specified requirements and at the same time to keep track of scope changes when they arise. They have leadership and communication skills, as well as the values and attitudes that help achieve the objectives of the works schedule.

Commissioning

During the commissioning phase Forta Ingenieria submits to the client guarantees of equipment
and facilities, as well as as-built drawings and even a BIM model for the management of the
property.
